Wax me apart
Eleni Ploumi (1988 – Thessaloniki, GR) is a performer and choreographer currently based in Tilburg. She studied Theater Dance Performance at the Contemporary/Urban department at FONTYS Dance Academy, from which she graduated from the Bachelor of Choreography program (2016). Her fascination as a performer and choreographer lies on how, by creating images, characters and atmospheres, the body itself turns into a mode for communication and representation. For this new research in the Kluis Eleni explores the interaction between the human body and the substance of wax.

De Kluis, niet meer dan een holle stenen ruimte van circa 8 bij 4 meter, weggemoffeld in de kelder. Wat als je een maker uitnodigt daar een week te bivakkeren? Wat kan er ontstaan? Of juist niet… Je kunt het zien op de tweede en vierde vrijdag van de maand, rond borreltijd, als de kluizenaar de deuren in de kelder opent.
